Father's Day and Sprinkler

This year the kids finished school three days before Father's Day and the only school that thought of Dad was Edward's preschool. The kids in Edward's class made a popsicle stick frame and placed pictures. Sooo cute! Since the kids did not make gifts at school, I had each of them write a short note to Daddy. I would have brought him a present but I honestly didn't know what to get him and plus we are saving for the adoption. The pictures are Joe looking at his gift and letters. It's great to see Daddy with a real smile. Joseph's tee ball team had a ceremony on Father's Day morning. They played one inning and then received a trophy. They even played the National Anthem. The later pictures are the kids with bubbles and in the sprinkler. The bubble and sprinkler pictures are from Saturday after we got home from Danny's and then Jenise's games. On Sunday we went to each of our parents and I did not bring my camera. The kids kept saying "that would have been a great picture." We had a nice day with our Dads and we feel so lucky to have them with us. My Grandfather passed away in November so it was my Mom's first day without her Dad and even though he was 97, I could still see my Mom missing him.

Daddy does look like he has a REAL smile.:) Love it. You know, we have had lots of years we don't do purchased gifts as well. Always saving for an adoption. Nothing wrong with that. LOVE the bubble pics!
