Hanging out on a 1/2 Day

The kids had a half-day of school today and with the temperature being 68 degrees, we had to get outside. Of course, the kids spent there time next door at the neighbors. The kids have a blast playing together! We are so thankful we have such great neighbors:) The pictures of Edward and JiaLi running are in our yard and the other pictures are next door. The rock picture is taken right on the line. Of course, a lot of what Edward did, JiaLi had to do. Danny was being bombarded by the younger kids as they threw balls at him while he was on the ladder, but he was a goodsport and put up with it while the kids all cracked up. The yards are just a mess right now as you can see by JiaLi's pants but we were just thankful to get out and run and play in the fresh air!!!!! No pictures of Jenise today-she was lying on the couch during all this.

Splashing in the Puddle!!

No, I don't usually allow the kids to do this but with the weather finally getting warmer, I had to have the kids outside and with the snow melting it is so messy. We have a large puddle on the bottom of these stairs in our yard and I actually asked the kids to play in the puddle. Can't have a scrapbook without a splashing in the puddle page:) The kids were so hilarious ---I think they were shocked that I asked them to do this. It was funny when Daddy came out to get some air and picked JiaLi up and said "she's all wet" - and I said well Mommy was letting them play in the puddles. I did tell the kids it would probably not happen again any time soon but I know I am doomed now that I have encouraged this. Oh well, it's only water:)

This weekend...

JiaLi just being silly!!

Just some pictures this weekend. The cousins were over on Sunday and only two are in the pictures but the 11 cousins were all together. JiaLi and Jenise after having their hair pulled back for the day and then below there is nothing like a snuggle with Daddy. On Saturday, JiaLi wasn't feeling too well and just wanted to chill when we got home. Of course, Daddy was there with her helping her out. And yes, when JiaLi is sleeping, she must have her green blankie:)

As the Girls Were Sleeping

Now this is definitely a post just to post but after seeing the pictures on Annslee's site of how much she sleeps with, I had to share the girls and how they sleep. I think JiaLi has learned from her big sister-her brothers only sleep with one animal:)

I went in to take pictures of the girls sleeping and they each were cozy in their beds. Me, being the Mom wanting a picture, very slowly lifted the blankets on each side of their beds to expose what was underneath. That yellow bunny next to Jenise is actually a very large pillow bunny-thanks Gramma and Papa:) Both Jenise and JiaLi stirred and turned over during the process but neither woke.

With JiaLi however, these animals and dolls mean nothing unless her green blankie is present. She must have her green blankie!!

Wacky Wednesday

Today is Wacky Wednesday at Joseph's school. He is wearing his clothes inside out, his pants are short and he has different colored socks-he didn't want to wear two different shoes. Oh and his hair is spiked. With our cold weather we are so thankful for our basement for the kids to get exercise;) Here are Edward and JiaLi rollerblading again. Not sure what was happening below but whatever the story was, it involved sleeping-Edward said they were playing Ninja evolution-JiaLi said she was "making a room". Just plain old fun:)

SNEAKING PLAY DOH

Joseph came home with Play Doh from school a few weeks ago and of course JiaLi found it today. Mommy was happy that she at least brought it to the table. Here she is making a ball, a cookie and the picture with the puckered lips is JiaLi pretending to eat the cookie. Here is JiaLi saying good bye to Joseph as he goes to school and then saying Hi to Edward as he gets home from school. With Joseph going to school in the afternoon now(1/2 day Kindergarten), JiaLi has someone around all day:)

Just Some Pictures

Now I know I have a problem if I am posting these but I suppose there are worse addictions ;)

Here is Danny at his concert--this is a double post--I felt too guilty placing the small picture at the bottom and had to add the large. If you read the whole post you will understand why I placed the large-TFL:) Joseph is receiving a haircut that he did not quite want.

Playing hide+seek... A fashion statement--JiaLi has a new thing where she likes to dress herself:) I had the T.V. for Edward because he was sick and all the kids squished on the love seat- wasn't sure yesterday how much this really helped but he is better today. And here is Danny at another concert--I really should have made this large-He did such a great job and he is so much fun to watch.
