Edward's Party

Edward's birthday party was this weekend. We had a neighborhood party back in May so the party was all family. The kids were outside all day. They played baseball, basketball, ran races...We even filled a whole bunch of balloons with water and everyone, even the adults, joined in the fun. Those two girls are scheming:) The kids enjoyed the sprinkler and swimming in the pool. We blew up some of those balloons with the big rubber bands on the end to act like a punching balloon. The little ones enjoyed getting each other. Those who brought their balloons to the grass lost them---they popped. One of the kids' friends had a birthday back in December during which they got to try to open a pinata. Since then, all Edward has been requesting for his party is a pinata. We did get a baseball pinata and all the kids had a turn. We started with the youngest and progressed to the oldest. Kids over 5 wore a blindfold. Daniel was the oldest and succeeded in breaking the baseball. The kids were so funny -- JiaLi immediately put one in her mouth before Mommy took the bags. Cakes by Joe--yes he made the cake:) Edward received some wonderful presents. He is so lucky!! The kids received party favors--JiaLi's favorite was the mini bubbles. Of course, all day today, Edward has been asking to open each gift he received. We have such a generous family. Now to get to work on those thank yous....
